KC’s fall enrollment has dropped 2.8 percent from this time last year. As of the 12th class day (Sept. 12), the total enrollment is 6,238, compared to 6,415 Fall 2011.
“We expected the enrollment to be down slightly,” said Trey Hattaway, director of enrollment management and marketing. “Due to a better economy in East Texas, more students are choosing the workforce. When the economy was suffering three years ago, our enrollment benefitted.”
