Ex-KC president contributed to financial stability

woodruff_promoFormer KC president Bert E. Woodruff died Saturday at his Kilgore home.

Woodruff served as an instructor of business and a business manager for more than 40 years before being named the college’s sixth president in 1989. During his four-year tenure, he was responsible for placing KC on firm financial ground and enacting policies which insured the future financial strength of the college.

Woodruff is survived by his wife, Bobbie, and daughters Joy, Martha, Myra and Donna.
