Classes dismissed 11 a.m.-noon to promote festivity attendance

Wednesday’s 11 a.m. classes will be dismissed for KC Kickoff this week as part of the annual Welcome Week festivities.
Welcome Week begins today with a different activity planned for students each day of the week.
Monday, a Coca Cola Truck will be stationed in the Mall area from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m., passing out free Coke products to KC students.
Charlie’s Snowballs is set to hand out free snow cones to students in the Lee Mall by the Watson Library from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. both Monday and Tuesday.
KC Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m. Wednesday in Masters Gym. Students will be released from class to attend the event, where a free hamburger/hotdog lunch will be provided by Aramark. The Ranger Band and cheerleaders will perform, and the football and basketball teams will be introduced.
On Thursday all KC clubs and organizations will set up information tables in the Devall Student Center from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m.
